Beaumont New Integral Contact Platen (ICP)- Waterfall 3/4-7/8

The new Beaumont Integral Contact Platen (ICP) works with either the KMG-TX or the KMG belt grinder. This unique platen has a 0.750 inch diameter 3 inch wide rubber contact wheel on one end and a 0.875 diameter rubber contact wheel on the other, each integrated with an oversized 3×10 inch steel platen plate. Either contact wheel can be operated in the lower position and repositioning is fast and easy. The ICP 3/4-7/8 has a round steel pivot pin which is held by a special aluminum tool arm with 1 inch bore vise-lock ends – this is same tool arm used in Beaumont’s popular Articulating Work Rest System. The ICP 3/4-7/8 can be purchased with or without the tool arm. The ICP is somtimes referred to as a waterfall platen due to the way the abrasive belt flows contuously over the platen and down the curvature of the contact wheels. The contact wheels are 70 durometer rubber for confident controlled grinding. The Beaumont ICP – waterfall is useful for continuous flat grinds smoothly transitioning into a curved radius, or long flat grinds integrated with a radius base or bolster. The ICP can also play a role in reducing hand sanding.
