This is a 1.5 inch diameter contact wheel with contact wheel spindle for optional use as an idler wheel with the KMG small wheel attachment.

Use caution and slower speeds on this idler wheel and small contact wheels to limit damage from overheating. Monitor the heat to determine the best speed for a specific wheel diameter. Smaller wheels require slower speeds to prevent over heating. Operate at a speed that keeps the bearings cool enough to comfortably touch.

Description

Includes the 1.5 inch contact wheel and one contact wheel spindle for attachment into the 1/2 inch threaded hole of the KMG or KMG-TX tool arm.
When paired with the Small Wheel Attachment, this functions as an idler wheel which tightens the belt angle to provide narrower, deeper abrasive cutting and small radius work.
In the configuration pictured, the 1.5 inch diameter contact wheel is attached to the KMG 2×72 grinder’s tool arm, while the Small Wheel Attachment is secured to the bottom of the same tool arm. The Small Wheel Attachment is pictured with a 3/4 inch small wheel.
